Nurse Counsellor Consultation
What to Expect from your Consultation with our Nurses
Choose The Harley Medical Group for any non-surgical treatments you are considering, and you will immediately be put in touch with one of our fully qualified and experienced nurse counsellors. Our nurses have chosen to specialise in non-surgical aesthetic treatments and are therefore the best people to place your trust in.
Your nurse counsellor will be on-hand to answer any questions you may have, from the moment you get in touch with our Dublin clinic to make an enquiry, to the end of your aftercare period. Your nurse will also take you through the process of your chosen procedure in detail, and explain the timescales of your treatment, and what recovery period to expect.
All of the nurses at our Dublin clinic are registered with the Irish Nursing Board / An Bord Altranais and have undergone at least three years of medical training before choosing to specialise in non-surgical treatments. Before being accepted to work with patients at The Harley Medical Group, they take part in our extensive training and assessment programme.
Before you undergo any non-surgical or surgical procedures at our Dublin clinic, you will have a consultation with one of our nurse counsellors. You will then meet with one of our nurse therapists who will carry out the treatment.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION
Call us today to book in for your private consultation with one of our nurse counsellors. When you arrive you will be introduced to your nurse counsellor who will ask you to explain your reasons for wanting a cosmetic treatment, before carrying out a Computerised Photo Imaging Skin Analysis. A careful assessment of this analysis will allow your nurse to determine which treatment will be best for you. He / she will then ask you a series of questions about your lifestyle, medical history, and hopes for your appearance, before explaining which procedures will achieve these results and what to expect from the treatment and any associated recovery period. You will of course be able to ask as many questions as you like to ensure that you are completely happy with the treatment before going ahead.
As well as thoroughly explaining the procedures open to you, your nurse counsellor will explain the post-treatment programme and any essential maintenance tips that you should follow. After the initial set of photographs has been taken by our specialist skin analysis computer, we will ask you to come in on a quarterly basis in the 12 months following your first treatment to allow further photographs to be taken. These photographs will allow us to compare the condition of your skin before, during, and after the procedure, showing you just how effective your chosen treatment has been.
Whichever non-surgical treatment you choose, one of our nurse counsellors will always be on-hand to ensure that you understand the process and that you receive the highest standards of care.
